Extensive Music Business Experience Meets Legal Acumen
Before forming Romeo Law, RJ was an associate of Slusky Law, LLC/Smith Gardner Slusky and the head of Slusky Law’s Entertainment Law Division. RJ was an agent and promoter’s representative at TBA Fairs and Festivals/Romeo Entertainment Group, Inc. TBA was an Iowa-based nationally renowned talent booking and promoting company which produced hundreds of concerts and live events annually all across the country. While working for TBA, RJ oversaw the production and execution of hundreds of live concerts throughout the country. RJ Romeo worked with hundreds of artists and their representatives to ensure successful live concert performances and events.
RJ’s experience also includes a business affairs internship with the Beverly Hills office of the prestigious and world-renowned William Morris Agency where he created artist riders, updated artist riders, and corrected and reviewed entertainment contracts.
Prior to being a promoter representative with TBA and an intern at the William Morris Agency, RJ Romeo was a concert lighting technician for Theatrical Media Services, an Omaha-based nationally renowned lighting company. For several years, RJ has, and continues to work with the Academy of Country Music Awards as a production manager on the hugely successful Fremont Street concert event. In addition, RJ has been the production supervisor of the ACM’s Orange Carpet.
As the third generation in a family well known throughout the music industry, RJ has spent his entire life immersed in the entertainment industry. He has combined his entertainment background with his legal expertise in order to provide enhanced services to his clients.

While in law school, <itemscope=”" itemtype=”http://schema.org/person”>RJ was nominated for and received the Creighton University School of Law’s Shkolnick Award, for “outstanding service to the law school, the students, and the community” and the Kathleen Severens Award, for excellence in Mediation. He was a winner of the National Buffalo-Niagara Invitational Mock Trial Tournament, received second place at the International Moot Court Tournament and second place of the Regional Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court Tournament. He was also a finalist of the ABA Regional Negotiation Tournament and received the CALI Award of Excellence in Legal Interviewing, Negotiating and Client-Counseling, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Pre-trial Litigation.
